Budano, Glidden, Nesbitt, and Langer Earn Second Wins at 5th Annual NOS NMCA Hot Rod and Muscle Car Nationals

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. –– Although horsepower was the word of the weekend across the state of Kentucky May 5-7, it was the sound of hundreds, and thousands of horses that attracted the fans to Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green for the 5th Annual NOS NMCA Hot Rod and Muscle Car Nationals.
The second race of the 2006 Edelbrock Drag Racing Series season was highlighted by record-setting performances as racers took the re-surfaced track for the first time. “I know a lot of guys were a little concerned about the track,” said Denso Pro Street winner Vinny Budano. “I don’t see anything wrong with it at all,” he added. It’s no wonder Budano was happy, considering he lowered the et record in the class to 6.46 in qualifying.
