1970 Oldsmobile W-30

Unbelievably right and new, a frame off restoration done in 1999 with every nut and bolt done to perfection, including a gorgeous polished stainless steel exhaust system. Thornton Brothers of Telford, PA, who happens to specialize in 442 and GTO's exclusively, performed the restoration. Only 264 W-30 convertibles were produced in the 1970's, with 168 automatic models. Even fewer were equipped like with A/C, tilt wheel, AM/FM stereo, clock and tach cluster, power windows and power trunk release.
With correct numbers matching this W-30 442 comes with the original customer protect-o-plate card, furnished by Olds to the first buyer of this car. Down to the finest detail, all manuals and dealer new car tags accompany this car. For the past 6 years since the restoration this outstanding W-30 has been pampered in a heated showroom and in the care of a former Oldsmobile dealer.
For you history buffs, the W-30 for 1970 was the highest HP motor (370) produced on a 442 production line by Oldsmobile. In 1971, the W-30 442 lost 50 ponies from under the hood. Also Only 264 W-30 convertibles were produced in 1970. And only 126 cameequipped with the Hurst Dual Gate automatic shifter.
